In short
- Your places are held for 10 minutes while you pay.
- You receive the confirmation and a link to your booking by email.
- Every traveler needs medical insurance covering high mountains.

1. How a booking is confirmed
- You choose the date, add the travelers and review the total before paying.
- When you continue to payment, we hold your places for 10 minutes.
- The booking is confirmed when the payment provider verifies the payment. Returning to the confirmation page is not enough on its own.
- We email you the booking reference and a private link to view it.
2. Prices and promotions
Prices are per person and include the services described on the experience page. Current promotions, such as the group discount that depends on the date and the number of travelers in one booking, apply automatically and are shown before payment. The payment provider may add a processing surcharge.
3. Traveler details
Before payment we ask for each traveler’s name, email, age, nationality and dietary preference, plus one emergency contact for the group. Allergies and health information are optional but help us prepare.
The person booking confirms they are authorised to share these details and that they are accurate.
4. Age and fitness
The experience is designed for people aged 15 and over in good physical condition. Below that age, you take part at your own risk. You must be able to keep up with a group; if you prefer a slower pace, book a private guide in advance.
5. Mandatory medical insurance
Every traveler must have valid medical insurance covering hiking and high-mountain activities in Guatemala. QuetzalGo does not provide insurance.
6. Liability waiver
After payment, each traveler receives by email their own liability waiver and risk acceptance agreement to sign before departure. The person who booked receives a copy of their companions’ agreements.
7. Meeting point and punctuality
We leave at 7:00 a.m. from Parque Central, Antigua Guatemala. We wait no more than 15 minutes; after that the transport leaves and the absence counts as a no-show.
Traffic in Guatemala is unpredictable, so the return time to Antigua is approximate.
